theclassroom
CREATIVE AGENCY
theclassroom 🌐 is a creative marketing studio providing design education and branding services to support diverse creatives, businesses, and entrepreneurs. We seek to bridge the gap between education and marketing for underserved communities. We offer a range of artistic services, including branding, design, art direction, marketing, and mentorship. AMF proudly serves as the trustee for our 2024-25 project, "theclassroom: Brand Design Program," led by Anna Nguyễn.
theclassroom values education, creativity, and community to curate human-centered brands and inclusive storytelling. Our upcoming initiative is a transformative effort to provide valuable design resources and comprehensive training in brand development–empowering youth in the Jane-Finch community. Our team is currently developing workshops for inclusive businesses and creatives to explore design education, creative entrepreneurship, and artistic expression.
Fun Fact: theclassroom's founder is also the designer behind the AMF website. For a deeper look into Anna's community work, visit her website.
Rooted and Rising
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Rooted and Rising tends to the passion and purpose of young people navigating what we currently call, "the climate crisis."
We are an intergenerational network creating climate education programs for people re-membering how to care with the natural world. We run a Youth Leadership Certificate Program that supports young leaders with tools, networks, collaborative skills, and expansive ways of thinking and seeing that invite us to joyfully experiment with new/ancient ways of beings.
We have launched a GoFundMe campaign to support this work, make this program accessible to youth regardless of means, background, and ability.
Jane Street Speaks
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Established in 2018, Jane Street Speaks is a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting artists in Toronto's West-end. Their core mission is to provide a vital platform for artists to showcase their talents, foster emerging talent growth, and create unique opportunities for marginalized individuals.
Founder Nathan Baya, a resident of the Jane and Finch neighbourhood, began this journey by carving out artistic opportunities for himself, which quickly expanded to include the community. From hosting Open Mic Nights and organizing workshops to arranging intimate concerts, we aim to empower marginalized residents to share their stories, countering one-dimensional narratives prevalent in mainstream media. Our goal is to champion positive representation, inspire younger generations, and enable individuals, irrespective of their origins, to lead healthier, prosperous lives.
